Our theology of giving
We teach the historic Reformed position: that giving is an act of worship, that the tithe (ten percent) is a fitting standard for the New Testament believer, and that all we have is from God’s hand. Giving is never coerced and never a prerequisite for membership.
How to give
In the offering plate, passed during the morning and evening worship services. By mail, made payable to Covenant Presbyterian Church. Online, through our secure giving portal (setup by contacting the church office).
We are a recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Annual giving statements are mailed in January.
Designated giving
Gifts may be designated to the General Fund (default), the Diaconal Fund (ministry to those in need), the Building Fund (capital projects), or specific missions the congregation supports. If you wish to designate, please note it on your check or envelope.
Planned giving & bequests
Several of our older members have included Covenant in their estates. If you are considering a bequest, a qualified charitable distribution from an IRA, or a gift of appreciated stock, Mr. Hollis (Clerk of Session) can walk you through the process.
