Our pastor
Rev. Samuel Marchetti has served as pastor of Covenant Presbyterian since 2014. He is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2011) and Westminster Theological Seminary (Th.M. in Biblical Theology, 2013). He and his wife Claire have four children.
Before coming to Covenant, Pastor Marchetti served in campus ministry with the Reformed University Fellowship and as an associate pastor in western Pennsylvania. His preaching is expository, his pastoral care is attentive, and his library takes up two rooms of the parsonage.
Our elders & deacons
Covenant is governed by a session of ruling elders under the oversight of the teaching elder (our pastor). Our current session consists of Mr. Andrew Hollis (Clerk of Session), Dr. Matthew Chen, Mr. Isaiah Okafor, and Mr. Benjamin Waverly. Our diaconate — which cares for the material needs of the congregation — consists of six deacons.
Our history
Covenant Presbyterian was founded in 1884 by a group of thirty-seven families who desired faithful Reformed worship in the growing town. The original sanctuary, rebuilt in 1924 after a fire, still stands at the corner of Main and Elm. The congregation joined the Presbyterian Church in America shortly after its founding in 1973.
Six pastors have served the congregation over its 142-year history. We remain small by American church standards (about 180 members) and unapologetically so. Our calling is not to be large but to be faithful.

We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) — a confessional Reformed denomination with roughly 380,000 members across 1,900 churches. We affiliate with the Eastern Presbytery.
